Decree No. 194 of the Cabinet of Ministers setting up State Monitoring Service of Dangerous Geological Processes.

The Premier, with a view of increase of man-induced technogenic impact caused by mining in mountainous and submontane areas, intensification of dangerous geological processes, in particular of landslides, for the purpose of protection of the population and national economic assets, decrees to set up State Monitoring Service of Dangerous Geological Processes. The aforesaid Service shall perform the following tasks: (a) identification of dangerous geological processes and forecast of their intensification; (b) monitoring of dangerous geological processes and early warning of the population and state bodies; (c) enforcement of the provisions issued by State Monitoring Service of Dangerous Geological Processes; and (d) recommendations for rational management of the territory and prevention of intensification of dangerous geological processes.
