Adequate agricultural production can be achieved by using phytofarmaceutic products and by informing farmers on efficient pesticides (art. 2). Integrated protection of crops (PI) shall contribute to a balanced ecosystem through a natural limitation of harmful organisms as well as other measures (art. 3). Article 4 deals with integrated production. Articles 6, 7, and 8 deal with the recognition that farmer's organizations may obtain if they exercise integrated protection and production of crops.
