This Complementary Law enters into force on the day of its publication.
Resumen

This Complementary Law amends article 2 of Law No. 1.248 of 4 December 1997 creating the State Department of Water and Sanitation (DEAS). Amended article is amended as follows: DEPASA's purpose is to formulate, manage and implement the State's basic sanitation policy, treatment, distribution and commercialization of public drinking water supply and sanitary sewage collection services, with the following responsibilities: plan and implement, directly or indirectly, administrative technical services concerning studies, projects, specifications, budgets, construction and operation of its production units, as well as the activities related to the supply and commercialization of drinking water and sewage collection; create and implement basic sanitation plans for public drinking water supply and sewage collection services, within the territory of the State, in accordance with the applicable legislation.
