Resumen This Complementary Law, consisting of 48 articles divided into nine Chapters, provides for public lands given by the State and monitors their occupation. It establishes that the Land Institute of Amapá (IMAP), is the competent body for the execution of the State land policy. The State shall encourage the formation and exploitation of rural property, in harmony with the Agroecological Zoning of its territory and with the principle of the social function of property. Agreements or contracts shall primarily aim at: economy in the conduct of services and works; efficiency in the application of the Law; unit of criteria in the implementation of principles and purposes of the current agrarian legislation. The lands of the State domain are: Lands transferred to the State, pursuant to the Federal Constitution of 1988 and Decree Law No. 2.375 of 24 November 1987; Land incorporated through expropriation, purchase, gift or other means of legal acquisition. The areas which will be reserved and will be adequately preserved are those for: preservation of water resources, landscaping or ecological protection and protection of native flora and fauna, including the boundary strips necessary to ensure their physical integrity; Civil construction, dams and ports; Lands occupied by public buildings; Foundation or increment of settlements; Implementation of Agricultural and Extractive Settlement Projects; Implantation of industrial or agroindustrial areas; Exploitation of mineral deposits and sources of mineral and thermal waters; Any other purpose of social interest linked to the socioeconomic and environmental development plans of the State.
