Strategies for putting in place the CBDRR are (i) institutionalize the implementation of risk reduction activities at the national level in order to ensure sustainability; (ii) mainstream disaster risk reduction into local development planning process; (iii) strengthening the key elements that enable a conducive environment for large scale CBDRR activities; and (iv) strengthening financial resources and budgetary allocation specifically for CBDRR at the local and national level.
