Resumen

The present Decision establishes conditions governing the importation into the Community of fresh meat coming from certain European countries. The scope envisages both fresh meat intended for human consumption and fresh meat destined to purposes other than human consumption. In the former case, the importation shall be authorized by Member States as long as the products (i) fall within one of the categories of fresh meat set out in Annex II, (ii) come from the territories specified in Annex I, and (iii) comply with the guarantees laid down in the health certificate drawn up in conformity with Annex III. In addition to those conditions, the following shall apply to the importation of fresh meat intended for purposes other than human consumption: (a) the conditions established by Directive 92/118/EC, and (b) the conditions established by Decision 89/18/EC.
