Circular No. 134/1999/TT-BNN-QLN guiding the organization of solidification of canals and ditches.

This Circular of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development concerns carrying out of solidification works of canals and ditches by local bodies. The Circular specifies the objectives, the sources of capital and technical requirements for such works. The priority are pumping stations, reservoirs and spillway dams in regions that lack water and canal systems in areas with a surface of great capacity to absorb water, canals through poor and "unstable" lands, outlying areas, midlands, and mountainous areas with complicated terrain.
