Entry into force notes

The present Ordinance enters into force on 1 August 2008.

Resumen

The present Ordinance lays down provisions relating to the protection of the climate against changes caused by certain fluorinated greenhouse gases. Article 3 establishes that operators of the following stationary applications: refrigeration, air conditioning and heat pump equipment, including their circuits, as well as fire protection systems, which contain fluorinated greenhouse gases, shall, using all measures which are technically feasible and do not entail disproportionate cost: a) prevent leakage of these gases; and b) as soon as possible repair any detected leakage. The text consists of 12 articles as follows: Sphere of application (1); Definition of terms (2); Prevention of the escape of fluorinated greenhouse gases into the atmosphere (3); Recovery and return of used materials (4); Personal requirements for certain activities (5); Certification of companies (6); Marketing (7); Other operator obligations (8); Placing on the market, sales and purchase of fluorinated greenhouse gases (9); Administrative offences (10); Criminal offences (11); Procedural rules (12).
