The Inspectorate shall implement the flag State supervision of Latvian ships by performing, among others, evaluation and approval of Latvian shipbuilding and modernisation projects, documentation regarding the stability of a ship, the pollution contingency plan in case of an accident, the ship's manual and other documentation of the ship specified in international regulatory enactments.
