Resumen This regulation determines restrictions on the use of drugs for animals. The State Veterinary Service shall monitor compliance with the present regulation. For animals of all species, from which food products of animal origin are obtained, as well as for sport animals, it is prohibited to use drugs containing estrogenic, androgenic of gestogenic substances, except in cases provided in paragraphs 13 and 15 of the present Regulation. For cows, regardless of the method of administering and the dose of drugs, it is prohibited to use drugs containing somatotropin. It is permitted to use B-agonists (for example, clenbuterol, salbutamol, terbutalin, isoxuprine) when rendering assistance to cows, as well as to other productive animals, during parturition if the time period for excretion of such drugs from the organism of the animal does not exceed 28 days after termination of treatment and if the necessity to use such drugs is determined, and the drugs are administered, by a practising veterinarian.
