Resumen

This Regulation determines the procedure for granting, administering and monitoring public and European Union support for beekeeping in the planning period 2023-2027, calculated on annual basis. The Rural Support Service allocates, administers and monitors the use of support funding, as well as performs inspections in accordance with the regulatory enactments on the procedure for administering and monitoring the European Agricultural Guarantee Fund and the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development, as well as public and the European Union support for agriculture and rural development for the period of 2023-2027. Support funding is granted annually in the period from October 16 of the current year to October 15 of the following year for the following types of interventions and the achievement of the goals set in them: (a) advisory services, technical assistance, training, exchange of information and best practices, including through networking, for beekeepers and beekeepers' organizations; (b) investments in tangible and intangible assets and other measures aimed also at combating bee parasites and diseases, especially varrosa; (c) investments in tangible and intangible assets and other measures also aimed at preventing damage caused by adverse climatic conditions and promoting the development and use of management practices suitable for changing climatic conditions; (d) investments in tangible and intangible assets and other measures also aimed at updating the number of bees in hives in the European Union, including beekeeping; (e) cooperation with specialized bodies to implement research programs in the field of beekeeping and beekeeping products; (f) market promotion, communication and marketing, including market monitoring, measures aimed at improving consumer awareness of the quality of beekeeping products; and (g) product quality improvement measures.
