Resumen

When carrying out emissions into water, shall be taken into account the environmental quality objectives specified in the Law on Water Management and water quality standards. If, in accordance with the Law "On Pollution", it is necessary to obtain a category A or category B permit for the emission of pollution into water, the State Environmental Service shall coordinate compliance of the permit conditions with the relevant environmental quality goals and water quality standards, as well as considering them when registering C-category polluting activities. In the application for obtaining a permit, including if significant changes in operations are planned, the operator, regardless of the type of wastewater discharge (into the environment, in a centralized sewage system or to external treatment facilities) must indicate the following information: (a) all priority substances or hazardous substances already used in the relevant facility or produced or created in the production process, as well as priority substances or hazardous substances contained in wastewater received from other operators, according to the information provided by the operators; (b) substances that the operator intends to use and which may occur in the process of polluting activity, if the polluting activity has not yet started or significant changes in the existing polluting activity are planned; (c) results of the operator's monitoring of polluting substances in wastewater; (d) the results of the initial mixing zone calculation in the receiving waters (surface waterbody) downstream discharge points of priority substances or hazardous substances, if the concentration of one or more of the mentioned substances in the discharged wastewater exceeds the environmental quality standards set in the water protection regulatory acts; and (e) the concentration of priority substances or hazardous substances found in wastewater as a result of measurements in the receiving waters upstream and downstream of the wastewater outlet.
