Failure to comply with the article is an offence. Any person who owns or keeps a herd of bovine animals in Scotland and who offers for sale processed milk or milk products derived from milk produced by that herd must select an approved laboratory to carry out testing of milk produced by that herd for brucellosis and notify the Scottish Ministers of the laboratory selected.
