Resumen

These Regulations set out measures to prevent the spreading of Bovine Brucellosis affecting cattle, pigs, sheep and goats. Suspected animals shall be reported to the Inspector appointed under section 3 of the Animals (Diseases and Importation) Act. The Inspector may serve a notice (Form A of the Schedule) on the owner of animals to have the herd tested, if the owner has not done already so pursuant to regulation 4. Regulation 6 concerns the disposition of reactors, i.e. animals reacting positively to approved tests as referred to in regulation 4. The Inspector may serve a Notice on an owner of a reactor to cleanse and disinfect premises and order the slaughter of affected animals. The Minister may declare eradication areas under regulation 10. Upon completion of eradication an owner may have its herd certified to be free from the disease.
