Resumen

The Ordinance provides for the constitution of the Council that shall dispose for the registration of Veterinary Practitioners by means of notification in the Official Gazette and a notice to be published in at least two widely read daily newspapers, one written in Bengali and the other in English. Names and addresses, qualifications of the Veterinary Practitioners shall be entered in a Register maintained by an appointed Registrar who shall update and enter any required information. Every individual in possession of the necessary qualifications may under this Order apply to the Council to be entered in the register. A fee shall be asked to be registered and the registration shall be finalized in a certificate of registration signed by the registrar and countersigned by the President. Registration may be refused or canceled if the practitioner has been convicted for moral offences or if he is found guilty of misconduct in his professional duties. Responsibilities and privileges of the registered veterinary practitioners are listed in Sections 19 and 20. Practitioners not registered shall not practice their profession under this Order.
