It applies to whole of the State and in addition, aims at ensuring level playing field for competitive markets to operate through setting up of minimum standards for facilities, procedures and system, thereby promoting the establishment of well administered and efficient infrastructure for marketing of horticultural produce in and from the State. It establishes composition, duties and responsibilities of the above mentioned Board entitled to perform the following activities: Exercise control over all the Committees established and constituted under this Act; Coordinate the working of the Committees and other affairs thereof including programmes undertaken by such Committees for the development of markets and market areas; Undertake the State Level Planning of the Development of Horticulture produce markets; Administration of the Marketing Development Fund; Give directions to the Committees with a view to ensure improvement thereof, etc. Texto completo Inglés Página web indiacode.nic.in
