They specify (enforcement) powers of the Commissioner responsible for livestock and entomology and the Inspector Officers. Where an inspecting officer has reasonable grounds to believe that a pest is present or disease exists in any bees or bee products or that any beekeeping equipment is infected, the Inspecting Officer may make an order requiring a beekeeper to carry out specified measures. Other provisions concern, among other things, conformation to prescribed standards of honey placed on the market or exported, bee and equipment import permits, prohibition to use honey as food for bees and prohibition to adulterate honey and honey by-products.
