The standard grades of various forms of produce are set out in the First Schedule to these Regulations (reg. 2). Regulations 3 to 13 regulate the use of containers and other packing materials and the marking of packaging material. Produce shall be considered to be unfit for shipment if it is improperly or fraudulently graded or packed, or if it is of unmarketable quality (reg. 14). Regulation 15 defines containers considered to be unfit for shipment. Regulations 16 and 17 provide for inspection of produce. Regulation prescribes the types of vegetables that may be exported from Bermuda. Exportation of other produce is prohibited. Applications for licences to ship produce shall be made to the Director. Other provisions deal with bonds, procedures for the granting of licences and prescribe offences. Schedules 2 to 4 specify standards for packaging materials.
