Act respecting the Ministère de l'Environnement et de la Faune (R.S.Q. c. M-15.2.1).

The purpose of the present Act is to define the competences of the “Ministère du loisir, de la chasse et de la pêche”. The functions, powers and duties of the Minister shall be: to promote the development of recreation, sport, hunting and fishing; to establish an aid programme intended for hunting and fishing activities; to promote the establishment of parks, belvederes and camping or picnic grounds; to supervise and manage everything relating to hunting and fishing, except maritime fisheries; to administer the parks established under the Parks Act (ch. P-9), fish and game reserves and bird sanctuaries. The text consists of 26 articles.
