Resumen

The objective of this Act is to facilitate the utilization of renewable energy resources at the sea according to societal objectives, and that energy facilities be planned, built and employed in such way that due regard is given to energy supply, the environment, safety, businesses and other interests. It applies to renewable energy production and the conversion and transmission of electrical energy at sea, in the Norwegian territorial sea and continental shelf. Article 1-3 establishes that the right to utilize renewable energy resources at the sea belongs to the Norwegian state and Article 3 regulates the granting of licenses to build, own or operate energy production facilities.
