Resumen

This chapter of the US Code, among others, provides for preserving United States harbors; inland waterway transportation; flood control and other purposes; general credit for flood control; rivers and harbors and other waterways projects for benefit of navigation, flood control, hurricane protection, beach erosion control, and other purposes; water resources projects on Federal land; study of water resources development projects by non-Federal interests; construction of water resources development projects by non-Federal interests; port or harbor dues; remote and subsistence harbors; arctic deep draft port development partnerships; assessment of operation and maintenance needs of the Atlantic Intracoastal Waterway and the Gulf Intracoastal Waterway; inland waterways riverbank stabilization; high water-low water preparedness; water resources studies and tribal liaison. It further provides that the Secretary shall establish and implement a pilot program to carry out feasibility studies, in accordance with this subsection, for flood risk management and hurricane and storm damage risk reduction projects for economically disadvantaged communities, in coordination with non-Federal interests.
