(International Association for Development). The Aid agreement was concluded on the 20th December 2004 and aims to finance the development of the electricity sector in Burkina Faso, and more broadly the promotion of economic development. The Court noticed that the project to develop the electricity sector includes the protection of the environment and an Action Plan for the resettlement of displaced people. The Agreement was also signed by the empowered persons and sets the management and use conditions of the grant.Consequently, the Aid Agreement complies with the objectives of the Constitution, and more specifically with the citizen’s right to development (Preamble), and the right to use and exploit Burkina Faso’s natural resources (Chapter III art.14).
