Abstract

For a period of six years from 18 January 2005 to 17 January 2011, the fishing opportunities granted to vessels flying the flag of a Member State fishing in the Seychelles waters shall be those established in this Protocol. Article 2 sets out the financial contribution. The two Parties hereby undertake to promote responsible fishing in Seychelles waters based on the principle of non discrimination between the different fleets fishing in those waters.The Annex attached to the Protocol, which lays down the conditions for the pursuit of fishing activities by Community vessels in Seychelles waters, is composed of the following Chapters: (I) Application for and issue of licences; (II) Fishing zones; (III) Catch reporting arrangements; (IV) Embarking seamen; (V) Technical measures; (VI) Observers; (VII) Landing; (VIII) Port equipment and use of supplies and services; (IX) Monitoring; (X) Enforcement.
