Abstract

Article 1 lists the limits referred to in article 2 of the Agreement for shrimp vessels, demersal trawlers, bottom longliners/fixed gillnets, freezer tuna seiners and surface longliners. The financial compensation is set at ECU 31 million payable in three equal annual instalments into an account to be indicated by the Ministry of Fisheries. Further provisions concern the Community contribution for the financing of Angolan scientific and technical programmes.The Protocol is supplemented by the following Annexes: Conditions governing fishing activities in Angolan waters by Community vessels (A); Conditions governing the fishing of pelagic species in Angolan waters by Community vessels (B).Furthermore, the Protocol is followed by 6 Appendices regarding inter alia: Application for a licence to fish for shrimp and demersal species in the waters of Angola (1); Application for a licence to fish for tuna in the waters of Angola (2); Daily catch report Instituto de Investigaçao Pesqueira - for all demersal trawlers (3.1); Daily catch report Instituto de Investigaçao Pesqueira - for all shrimp vessels (4.1).
