Annex IV to the Treaty is amended on the basis of recommendations made by the Pacific Salmon Commission in 1990 in accordance with article XIII, paragraph 3 of the Treaty. The Annex specifies in Chapters 1 to 6 management and conservation measures for specific areas including transboundary rivers or in respect of salmon species. Total allowable catches of the Parties are fixed on the basis of estimations of joint technical committees or a percentage of total allowable catch earlier fixed or are indicated in the amended Annex.
