Mineral deposits regulated by the present Multilateral agreement shall be classified as: (a) hydrocarbons; (b) solid minerals; (c) groundwater; and (d) common minerals used by local population for its own needs. This Multilateral agreement shall be applicable to the following activities: (a) research and monitoring; (b) exploration; (c) mining; and (d) environmental audit. The Parties commit themselves to inform each other on any geological or mining activity on the proper territory.
