Abstract

This Treaty lays down general principles and objectives for the relationship between Papua New Guinea and Solomon Islands. The Parties shall consult and cooperate with each other and with any other relevant party in recognizing, maintaining and promoting: (a) conservation of the natural environment; (b) sustainable development including sustainable fisheries; and (c) environment conscious development and exploitation of natural resources. A dispute settlement provision is included in the Treaty.
