Abstract

This Agreement establishes the rules and regulations, which will create the basis for relations between the European Communities and Latvia in the fisheries industry, and determine the direction in which their cooperation should be developed. Rules concern cooperation in the field of development of fisheries, fisheries conservation and management, access of vessels of the other party, scientific research, and enforcement. In particular, the Parties will cooperate on a bilateral basis and through suitable international fisheries organizations, in particular the IBSFC, for that purpose. (20 articles)
