Abstract

The Agreement in the form of an Exchange of Letters concerns the provisional application of the Protocol that establishes fishing rights and financial contribution of the European Economic Community for fishing in the waters of the Republic of Côte d'Ivoire. The Government of Côte d'Ivoire is willing to apply the Protocol provisionally, with effect from 1 July 1997, pending its entry into force in accordance with Article 8, provided that the European Community is prepared to do likewise. The Community confirms the Agreement to such a provisional application.
