Abstract

The Contracting Parties have concluded the present agreement with a view to obtaining the benefits of co-operation in the areas of production, research and marketing with respect to pepper production. To this end, the Parties provide for the establishment of an organization to be known as the Pepper Community Initially the Community shall consist only of the Parties (Indonesia, India, Malaysia). However, other pepper pepper producing countries may apply to become members of this organization. Article 3 defines the objectives and functions of the Community. Such functions shall deal with research, exchange of information, development of programmes for increasing consumption ( FAO)
