The Parties, having in mind their national priorities, shall give special emphasis to develop scientific and technical cooperation in the following fields: technologies, genetic engineering and biotechnology, environmental protection, energy, protection of intellectual and industrial property rights, agriculture processing of agricultural products and animal husbandry, etc. The Parties shall establish a permanent joint commission entitled to carry out research and give opinion in these sectors.
