The boundary line is demarcated by the arcs of a great circle which join the points listed out in article I, paragraph 1 of the Agreement. Furthermore, the mentioned boundary line shall be drawn by taking into account the nautical maps referred to in article I, paragraph 2. Article II regards mineral deposits and other natural resources existing on both sides of the boundary line hereby defined. In addition, the Contracting Parties shall undertake all possible measures to ensure that the exploration of their respective continental shelf areas and the exploitation of related natural resources do not adversely affect the ecological balance. Article IV concerns the settlement of disputes that may arise relating to the interpretation or application of this Agreement. Priority shall be given to the diplomatic channel. In case of failure of the latter, the dispute may be submitted by either Contracting Party to the International Court of Justice or to any other international body chosen by mutual consent.
