Abstract

The Parties agree that the total allowable catch in the contiguous area of the Sea of Barents adjoining continental coast of Norway and Russia must be used mostly in equal quotas by the Kingdom of Norway and by the Union of the Soviet Socialist Republics, while a share of catch shall be distributed to the third countries by mutual consultation. The total allowable catch in the aforesaid marine area shall be set by the Joint Commission. Foreign fishing shall be allowed in the presence of fishing authorization issued by the Government of the USSR or by the Government of the Kingdom of Norway.
