The Parties have agreed as follows: (a) to undertake arrangements to prevent the introduction of quarantine organisms on their territory as regards import, export and transit of cargo ; (b) to inform each other in writing of new quarantine organisms, their propagation and arrangements for combating them ; (c) to inform each other of the amendments to the phytosanitary import and export regulations; (d) to render scientific, technical and other kinds of assistance for the exposure, localization and elimination of hotbeds of infectious quarantine organisms; (e) to exchange experts for the purpose of selective quarantine inspection of cargo subject to quarantine inspection; (f) to assign at the request of one of the Parties experts for carrying out arrangements for combating quarantine organisms (art. 2). Each lot of cargo subject to quarantine inspection shall be accompanied by a phytosanitary certificate attesting that the cargo is infection free and complies with phytosanitary requirements of the importer (art. 3). Wood-wool, sawdust, paper, plastic and other materials that can be carriers of quarantine organisms shall not be used for packaging and must be free of soil. Means of transport must be cleaned up and disinfected (art. 6).
