Abstract

The Parties have agreed to cooperate in the following areas: (a) scientific exploration of outer space, including the physics of solar and terrestrial links, radioastronomy, high energy astrophysics and the study of planets; (b) distant zoning and monitoring of the Earth from outer space and related information technologies and services; (c) space medicine and biology; (d) satellite navigation systems and related information technologies and services; (e) research and development; and (f) control, prevention and reduction of man-caused impact on the outer space environment. Cooperation shall be carried out in the following forms: (a) joint programmes and projects using scientific, experimental and industrial bases; (b) exchange of scientific data and information; (c) training of personnel and the exchange of scientists, technical and other specialists; (d) symposia, conferences and congresses; and (e) technical assistance.
