Abstract

This Agreement establishes the boundary of the continental shelf between the Republic of Finland and the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics in the north-eastern part of the Baltic Sea in the section extending to the west of the line joining the Hankoniemi peninsula, the island of Osmussaari and Cape Pöösäspää and up to the line joining the Finnish navigational mark on the island of Grimsörarna and the Soviet lighthouse at Ristna on the island of Hiiumaa. The boundary shall be the median line which begins and ends at determined points whose co-ordinates are indicated in this Agreement.
