Abstract

The Parties have agreed that the dividing line between that part of the continental shelf of each country is in principle a line which at every point is equidistant from the nearest points of the baselines from which the territorial sea of each country is measured. In implementation of this principle, the dividing line shall be an arc of a Great Circle between the points specified in article 2. In the north the termination point of the dividing line is the point of intersection of the dividing lines between the continental shelves of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, the Kingdom of Denmark and the Kingdom of Norway. In the south the termination point of the dividing line is the point of intersection of the dividing lines between the continental shelves of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, the Kingdom of Denmark and the Federal Republic of Germany.
