Abstract

The Parties hereby establish a boundary between the areas of the continental shelf over which Sweden and Finland respectively exercise sovereign rights for the purposes of the exploration and utilization of natural resources. The boundary shall in principle be a median line between the baselines from which the breadth of the territorial sea of each country is measured. The Parties also have signed a Protocol on the exploitation of natural resources near to the boundary line attached to this Agreement.
