Abstract

This Agreement is composed of 5 articles and 1 Annex. The Exclusive Economic Zone shall be measured by the median line of which every point is equidistant from the nearest points on the baseline of the two parties as illustrated in the attached map (art. 1). In case of the existence of common natural resources extending between the EEZ of the two countries, the Parties shall collaborate in order to reach an agreement on the modalities of the exploitation of these resources (art. 2). If any of the two Parties intends to delimitate the EEZ with another country, this shall be communicated to the other before signing the definitive agreement, especially if this delimitation is in connection with coordinates 1 and 8 indicated in the aforementioned Map (art. 30). In case of any dispute, the parties shall appeal to diplomatic canals and to arbitration (art. 4). Definition and delimitation of the median line (annex I).
