Abstract

The intentions of this Agreement are: (i) to protect the national economy and human health from contagious and other animal diseases; (ii) to cooperate in the field of animal health and veterinary science; (iii) to harmonize measures for the prevention of contagious animal diseases; (iv) to elaborate common measures regarding trade in live animals, products of animal origin, and other products which may propagate contagion.
