Biodiversity-related conventions; these are eight international agreements, which all have biodiversity as a central part of the treaty. : Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD); Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Animals (CITES); Convention on the Conservation of Migratory Species of Wild Animals (CMS); The International Treaty on Plant Genetic Resources for Food and Agriculture (ITPGRFA); Convention on Wetlands of International Importance especially as Waterfowl Habitat (Ramsar); World Heritage Convention (WHC); International Plant Protection Convention (IPPC); International Convention for the Regulation of Whaling/International Whaling Commission.
