Abstract

This Act provides for the continuing in existence of the Central Africa Power Corporation as the Zambezi River Authority (sect. 4.1). The composition, functions, administration, financing, procedure, privileges, and immunities of the Authority are prescribed in the Agreement on the utilization of the Zambezi River concluded between Zambia and Zimbabwe (sect. 4.2). The Authority shall transfer assets, liabilities and obligation to the national electricity undertakings of the two countries (sect. 4.2). (9 sections)
