Abstract

These Regulation prescribe that, for section 31 of the Wool Services Privatisation Act 2000., eligible wool means shorn wool within the meaning of Part 2 of Schedule 37 to the Primary Industries Levies and Charges Collection Regulations 1991 and that, for subsection 31 (7) of the Act, the Minister must determine the gross value of eligible wool produced in Australia in a financial year. The gross value of eligible wool produced in Australia in a financial year is the average of an estimate provided by Australian Bureau of Agricultural and Resource Economics of the gross value of eligible wool produced in Australia in the financial year and the amounts stated by the Bureau to be the gross value of eligible wool produced in produced in Australia in each of the last 2 preceding financial years.
