This Code enters into force on the date of its official publication.
Abstract

This Code regulates the issues of manufacturing and classification of grape wines and wine-based products, assignment of the appellation of geographical origin, quality control of produce, packaging and transportation thereof. It also establishes the criteria for classification of wine. The use of water, aqueous extract and synthetic colouring agents in the process of wine-making shall be prohibited. Wine must be bottle resistant and transparent. Wine and liquor bottles shall be labelled in accordance with the requirements currently in force.
