With regard to the administration it provides for the appointment of a Chief Wildlife Protection officer and officers to assist him. Their duties are to enforce the provisions of the Act; the preparation of a wildlife inventory, the establishment of reserves, the regulation of hunting, etc. A number of instruments are envisaged for wildlife management; the establishment of a Wildlife Conservation Advisory Committee, wildlife reserves; hunting restrictions, including prohibition for protected species; hunting licences, restrictions on the import and export of wildlife species; funds for wildlife conservation, etc. Offences under this Act carry various penalties.
