Abstract

The purpose of this Act is to help sustain the wilderness quality of Yukon lands and waters, to require operators to obtain a licence to conduct wilderness tourism activities, and by doing so, enhance the quality of the wilderness tourism sector (sect. 1). The Act provides for the licensing procedure, for the registration of licences, for the cancellation and suspension of licences, for inspections to monitor the implementation of the Act and it also covers offences and penalties.
