Wild rice means rice in a green or unprocessed state (sect. 1). The Act provides for licences for the production of wild rice, designates zones in which wild rice can be cultivated, secures rights of Indians, sets requirements for export certificates, provides for all related legal and administrative matters and for enforcement of the Act.
