Abstract The present Ordinance implements the Act on protection of nature and landscape conservation of 23 May 1996. In particular, the Ordinance regulates the protection of wild fauna through the establishment of protection zones and winter resting zones. The purpose of the Ordinance is: a) to preserve and improve the quantity and quality of wildlife habitats; b) securing viable populations of native wild animal species; c) ensuring a species-specific rhythm of life for wild animals; d) ensuring the sustainable use of huntable wild fauna. The text consists of 12 articles divided into5 Parts as follows: General provisions (I); Protection zones and winter resting zones (II); Organization and implementation (III); Penalties (IV); Final provisions (V).
