Act 1980 to reflect the addition of certain wild and exotic species which are prohibited from being imported into the Isle of Man, except under licence. The schedule is divided into four parts: mammals, birds, reptiles and invertebrates. Some examples of the prohibited animals are: marsupials, antelopes, camels, giraffes, hippos, all dogs except domestic dogs (with some exceptions), all cats except domestic cats, hyaenas, elephants, whales and dolphins, monkeys and apes, rhinoceroses, ostriches, cassowaries, emus, crocodiles and alligators, venomous snakes, scorpions, and spiders.
