Abstract

This Act prohibits in section 3 capturing or attempting to capture a wild animal specified in the Schedule and exportation of any wild animal from the Bahamas save under a license granted by the Minister responsible for wild animals and bird protection under section 4. Licenses may be granted at the discretion by the Minister but section 4 indicates that a license shall be granted if the case Minister is satisfied that is it expedient that a wild animal should be captured or be exported. The Minister shall also have the power to make regulations and to amend the Schedule. (6 sections)
